That’s why over the last few years, efforts have been made to make Barcelona’s beaches accessible to all users and customers. Accessible beaches facilitate access and allow the population, especially those with limited mobility, to enjoy everything that the beaches have to offer. So let’s do an overview of the beaches that you can enjoy worry-free, and look more specifically at what they have to offer.

Playa de la Barceloneta
This beach is located in the district of La Barceloneta, between Playa de San Miquel and Playa de Somorrostro. This is one of the most famous beaches in Barcelona since it offers a large number of services, including many that are aimed towards those with reduced mobility or who use a wheelchair. The services offered are as follows:

- Handicapped access route to the water.
- Wooden boardwalks for visitors.
- Accessible showers, change rooms and bathrooms.

Playa del la Nueva Icária is located in the Poblenou district between Barcelona’s Olympic Port and Playa de Bogatell. This beach has the second highest number of services for guests with reduced mobility. Let’s take a look at the services they offer:

Here we find ourselves at Playa del Fórum, located next to Port Fórum in Sant Adrià del Besòs. So far the beaches we’ve looked at have had very similar water access systems. In this case we find completely different equipment, but the services are very similar to those above:
