We are extremely lucky to stand with a city like Barcelona that demonstrates increasing commitment to the city’s sustainability year after year. One of the ways it expresses this is through commitment and motivation to make bike riding a standard means of transportation within the city. We are very happy to have increasingly more amenities available for sustainable activities: there are more than 1,000 kilometers of road that are particularly appropriate for bicycle traffic scattered throughout 30 km/h zones, peaceful streets and bicycle lanes which, as explained in in this article from the Barcelona City Council, have increased by 72% over the past 3 years.
Obviously using a bicycle as a means of getting around the big city or its metropolitan areas has a lot of benefits! Besides contributing to the reduction of gas emissions entering the atmosphere, it also has great benefits both personally and health-wise:
It provides major economic savings.
By using a bicycle you’re helping to save the environment.
Riding a bicycle helps lower stress levels.
It also strengthens and tones your body.
It boosts your immune system.
It gives you the opportunity to discover unique places.
Where can you travel by bicycle?
